Venus Awards’ Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 award is sponsored by Ceuta Healthcare. Ceuta Healthcare is the leading international outsource partner within health and beauty. They build brands, sell, market and distribute for client partners ranging from start-ups to large multinationals. Ceuta offers its expertise to deliver great results, bespoke and innovative solutions adding value to their clients making them an invaluable business partner. Georgina Hurcombe met with Ceuta Healthcare Managing Director Annette D’Abreo, who selected the 3 finalists and is an extremely entrepreneurial businesswoman herself.

The entire LoveLove team are delighted to see Georgina recognised for her hard work in pushing the company forwards in 2017. This year we have worked with a vast array of diverse clients on a range of exciting projects. Some highlights of the year include producing from concept to completion the documentary Martin Clunes: Riding Therapy, which aired on Sky. We also created the entirety of the graphics for the BBC Films F1 feature Williams. We are currently in development with Bottle Island, a fun and fast-paced 2D/3D mixed-media edutainment preschool adventure series that encourages young children to care for their planet by reinforcing themes such as conservation, preservation and the issues surrounding plastic pollution.

On winning the award, Georgina Hurcombe says; “I am so honoured to have won Entrepreneur of the Year! With only 14 per cent of business owners being women, I think it’s great that the Venus Awards helps inspire women in business and hopefully encourages more women to form businesses. I met so many inspiring women at the ceremony, so well done to everyone involved and a big thank you to the fantastic team behind me.”

This award comes off the back of a great year for LoveLove Films and Georgina. In 2017, Georgina has also won ‘Business Owner of the Year’ at the Women in Business Awards; she was also named one of Insider’s 42 Under 42 of the South West’s finest entrepreneurs under the age of 42, and she was also featured in The Guardian as part of their ‘Letter to my younger self’ series. LoveLove Films have also been named finalists for the ‘Young Chamber’ award at the Dorset Business Awards for our work with young people, as well as being shortlisted for three Rock Star Awards. Other awards we have won this year include a Davey Award for our animated musical film Coastwise, and an Ekotopfilm/Envirofilm award for animated film We Save Land.
