Pop Paper City selected for MIPTV’s 2020 Kids Series Pitch

We are very pleased to announce that our pre-school IP Pop Paper City has been officially selected for the annual Kids Series Pitch at MIPTV 2020.

LoveLove Films’ preschool series Pop Paper City (52 x 11’) has been selected for MIPTV’s 2020 Kids Series Pitch. As part of MIPTV’s ‘In Development’ programme, the Kids Series Pitch presents the most promising projects from creators and producers of animation and live-action series from around the globe, showcasing new projects to meet kids’ growing appetite for innovative content. Pop Paper City is one of only five children’s projects to be selected for the pitch, and is the only one to have been produced in the UK.

This year’s Kids Series Pitch features an esteemed panel of Jury Members from across the children’s TV landscape. The Jury Members include Senior Acquisitions Manager (Kids EMEA) for Warner Media, Zia Bales, the VP Animation for Nickelodeon International, Chris Rose, and Acquisitions Executive of YLE, Vicky Schroderus, just to name a few.

LoveLove Films are thrilled to be showcasing Pop Paper City at MIPTV 2020. Pop Paper City is a vibrant 3D craft show with adventure, set in a place where dreams can become reality. The series follows a group of unique paper characters as they get crafty and create adventures together in a captivating paper world. In each eleven-minute episode, the characters find new ways to have fun together by creating new parts of their already impressive world, using crafts to solve their problems and complete their adventure. Live-action montages in the show inspire children to make their own paper creations, encouraging ‘doing as well as viewing’.

The official distribution partner for Pop Paper City is Aardman, the studio behind legendary animations like Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep.

Pop Paper City’s official selection at this year’s MIPTV Kids Series Pitch follows a successful exhibition at MIPJunior 2019, where Pop Paper City was awarded a certificate for being the 4th Most Viewed Project in MIPJunior’s Screening Library.
