LoveLove are thrilled to announce that MD / Producer Georgina Hurcombe, in-house Scriptwriter Oliver Selby and Animator JoAnne Salmon have been confirmed as speakers at Bournemouth’s Digital Wave event later in the year.

This will be LoveLove’s 3^rd year at Digital Wave, the event dedicated exclusively to 14-19 year olds interested in entering the exciting digital and creative industries. Held at the BIC, it intends to shine a light on all the degree, college, apprenticeship and career opportunities on offer in the UK, with Bournemouth chosen as “the home of the country’s fastest growing digital economy”.

Georgina, Oliver and JoAnne are thrilled to have been honoured with the chance to speak at Digital Wave in front of an expected crowd of around 1,000 young people. Each LoveLove team member will give an insight into how they came to be in the industry, from what inspired them to how they made their first steps into the sector. They will be involved in a bite-size, fun and insightful panel discussion, showing examples of their work and talking about life at LoveLove Films.

With a particular emphasis on young talent, the team are in a prime position to be able to inspire the youthful crowd. Managing Director Georgina was just 25 when she founded the company 7 years ago, while at only 22, a year after graduating with a 1^st from Bournemouth University, Oliver has already become one of the most important cogs in the LoveLove machine. JoAnne, too, has never let her Treacher Collins Syndrome hold her back from living her dream of becoming an animator, recently leading the team that won an award for the 2017 animation ‘We Save Land’.

The subject of LoveLove’s award-winning placement scheme will no doubt arise again too. Especially after last two year’s ‘Win a Placement’ competition where students of all ages designed their very own LoveLove character during a live animation demonstration in the hope of winning the opportunity to create the animation in full at the LoveLove Films studio. Last year’s competition was won by Cathline Holloway from Blandford as she became one of the 30 placement students a year to join LoveLove team.

This year, the team hope to inspire the next generation once again – and with just a month and a half to go, the exciting count down begins! Just enough time for the team to write their presentation too!

Digital Wave 2017 will be held at the BIC on October 2^nd 2017.
