LoveLove Films’ Alysia attends Thinkbox Workshops

Yesterday our team member Alysia attended the Thinkbox workshops ‘Intro to TV: how the TV advertising market works’ and ‘Enhanced TV: how technology benefits viewers and advertisers’ at their offices in Victoria.

The ‘Intro to TV: how the TV advertising market works’ provided a focused overview of what television has to offer advertisers and how the TV advertising market works, aimed at trainee media planners and buyers or junior marketing personnel. The course looks at the many and varied strengths of television as a communications vehicle and examines the different roles that TV can play. It also demystifies the sometimes confusing jargon that surrounds TV planning and buying.

The ‘Enhanced TV: how technology benefits viewers and advertisers’ provided updates on the latest developments in TV Technology and what they mean for advertisers. The workshop focused on digital TV recorders, HDTV, 4K, mobile devices, tablets and the rise of apps. The workshop also explored how multi-screening has enhanced the TV experience and how this has changed viewing behaviour.

All in all, it was a fun and informative day. It was beneficial to learn about potential new approaches to marketing and advertising owing to continual developments in TV based technologies.
