LoveLove shortlisted for Dorset Business Award!

LoveLove Films is honoured to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the 21st annual Dorset Business Awards. Sponsored by Voip Unlimited, the Business Engagement with Education Award 2015 is a new addition to this year’s ceremony, and is awarded to the business which has established a strong and positive partnership with local schools, universities and education programmes.

Here at LoveLove Films we’re extremely proud of all our links to the local community, both in Bournemouth and Dorset as a whole. Not only are we committed to nurturing the talent of the next generation of local students, but we also understand the importance of supporting them to help them gain some invaluable industry experience.

With the Lovelove Films placement programme—which takes on between 25 and 30 students every year—proving to be a roaring success, with many of those students going on to work with us either full-time or as paid freelancers, we have now decided to set up our very own Apprenticeship scheme in Animation and Design. Alongside that, we have now formally set up ties with a variety of different institutions across the region, including Bournemouth University, Arts University Bournemouth, and building relationships with Bournemouth & Poole College, Wiltshire College and the Bourne Academy, offering workshops, lectures, work experience and expertise to both their students and staff.

With many of the LoveLove team alumni of local schools, colleges and universities—including our Managing Director Georgina Hurcombe, DCCI Business Woman of the Year 2013-14 & Bournemouth University graduate — we know what fantastic institutions of learning these places are, and that is just one of the reason as to why we are so passionate about doing our bit to help the local student population fulfil their potential and go on to make Dorset an even greater place to live and work!

The winner of this year’s Dorset Business Awards will be announced on the 26th November at a ceremony held at the BIC in Bournemouth, and whilst we would be overjoyed to be given that honour, the real winners are all the students and young people who will benefit from all the work that we and our fellow finalists do!
