The Managing Director of LoveLove Films Georgina Hurcombe has been shortlisted as a regional finalist at the 2019 Forward Ladies (FL) National Awards & Summit. Georgina is a finalist for the Female Entrepreneur Award for the London & the South region. The regional finals take place in London on Friday September 27^th, 2019, with the winners going on to the Grand Finals in Leeds in November.

Forward Ladies is a unique women’s network based in the UK. The initiative empowers women by providing a platform that connects them to networks, expertise, businesses, and opportunities. Since 1999, Forward Ladies has been helping women to realise their personal goals and ambitions, offering original events and industry-specific programmes – these events also aid organisations in securing much-needed diversity in their leadership positions.

With four different regional finals taking place throughout September and October, the Forward Ladies National Awards & Summit is the biggest celebration of successful businesswomen in the UK. The FL National Awards & Summit has been running for an impressive ten years, and the 2018 edition of the Awards Programme saw over 1,800 women receive nominations. The FL National Awards also hosts a variety of inspirational speakers, comprising professional men and women, successful entrepreneurs and business-people.

As a female business leader, Georgina is committed to making the media industry a fairer, more accessible place for women. Georgina experienced gender-related barriers of her own when starting her entrepreneurial career, and, as such, is very much aware of many of the challenges that women may face in their individual careers. Most recently, Georgina was announced as the latest board member for Animated Women UK, an initiative that aims to support and guide women in the animated and VFX industries. As a member of Animated Women UK’s board, Georgina works with her fellow board members to create a vibrant, supportive network for women in the animated and VFX industries.

Responding to the news of her Forward Ladies finalist shortlisting, Georgina Hurcombe said:
