Boss Talks – LoveLove MD Inspires Young People In Podcast Series

LoveLove Films’ Founder and Managing Director, Georgina Hurcombe was recently approached by BOSS Talks, a podcast series powered by Think, Create, Do and ran by radio professional Nathan Thomas who ‘finds out what the bosses are really thinking’ and is aimed to inspire young people.

Nathan Thomas states “Boss Talks aims to break down some of the misconceptions of what bosses are like and gives the next generation the chance to listen to how things really are in the working world. It’s a unique opportunity to role reverse and find out what makes that boss and company tick. We even get to know their music taste as the bosses choose the closing track for their episode! Eventually the podcast series will act as a great resource for young people to gain in sight into multiple employment sectors but also a chance to hear what qualities and attributes are really looked for by leaders in those sectors”

Due to winning  awards such as the DCCI Business Women award, The VOIP Business Engagement with Education award and recently the LinkedIn ‘Are You Ready For Tomorrow’  competition, BOSS Talks were interested in finding out more about Georgina’s success as a businesswoman and her work at LoveLove Films.

Podcast Below:

Georgina was delighted to meet 12 year old Flo Etheridge at BOSS: Talks, and to share her story about how she got into the video/ Animation production business and tips for aspiring creatives and entrepreneurs.

LoveLove Films are proud that Georgina is representing the growing success of women in the film and television. So what’s the secret? “You don’t necessarily nowadays have to be in the physical office, you can actually work remotely for a lot of creative businesses because of the power of the internet,” explains Georgina. “My advice would be just to go out and do it and make videos and make lots of content and have fun… there’s nothing stopping you!”

As well as the ever-increasing achievements of women in the creative industries, for us it is also particularly exciting to see that Dorset is flourishing as a hub for digital media and here at LoveLove Films, we are thrilled to be a part of it.
