Back to the Future Day at Cinechrome Studios!

Great Scott! LoveLove Films’ Back to the Future Day went off with a bang, as rival teams from creative agencies battled for supremacy in our very own BTTF Pinball tournament.

Like millions of people around the world, the LoveLove team celebrated Back To The Future Day in true style, transforming our Bournemouth studio into a modern day rendition of Hill Valley. In homage to the cult classic starring Micheal J Fox and Christopher Lloyd, we built and hung our own Back to the Future clock tower, dotted several “You’re Fired!” and “McFly you suck!” posters around the office, and even had our very own food-stand packed full of Pepsi Perfect and a delicious “Joey Out of Jail” cake made by our fabulous placement student Nela!

When it came to the competition all the players were eager to get started, battling not only the machine but also each other as our compere for the day, My Koolbox’s own Arran Campbell, tested competitors Back To The Future knowledge with a tough movie trivia quiz.

As the dust settled, it was LoveLove’s own Sunny Clarke and Tom Suddrey who ran out winners in the team tournament, followed closely by Bright Blue Day’s Dawn Whelan and Jamie White-Reed, with a cross-brand team of Really Wild Challenges’ James King and Bournemouth and Poole College’s Ken Pitts hot on their heels.

Pinball enthusiast Tom subsequently went on to win the individual tournament, which meant he got to get his hands on the top prize—a limited edition Back To The Future Ultimate Visual History Annual which not only includes a foreword from the actors, but also replica props and memorabilia from the films—an absolute must-have for any fan! To say he was delighted with his prize would be an understatement!

Whilst there might not have been a hoverboard for us to fly around on, or a DeLorean on hand to transport our winners back to 1985 to celebrate, a great time was had by all and LoveLove Films would like to thank everyone who came and made the day one to remember.
