The Brief
LoveLove Films were approached by Royal Windsor Racecourse with an open brief to produce an upbeat, colourful and memorable 30 second TV advert that would encourage viewers to visit. Royal Windsor Racecourse is a horse-racing venue located in Windsor, Berkshire, England. Set in 165 acres of stunning Berkshire countryside, on the River Thames and in the shadow of Windsor Castle. Royal Windsor Racecourse wanted a TV advert made from their existing assets, however they had no footage but a number of high res photos.
The Process
Finding a solution, LoveLove Films pitched the idea of a TV advert made up of stunning parallax archive imagery blended together smoothly via a double exposure technique, showcasing the glamorous and quintessentially British racecourse in all its glory as bold splashes of colour pop throughout.
The bold splashes of colour were created in the LoveLove Films studio practically by our animation team and captured in stunning 4K to get a more realistic result as opposed to animating the ink splashes.
The animation team created the animation by combining the photo assets with 3D projection mapping, which then allowed us to rotate the camera, creating an illusion of realism.
The Result
Royal Windsor Racecourse were thrilled with the final advert, which aired on ITV VOD from 30th April 2018.
