The Brief
Our friends over at ThomasMiller LTD introduced us to PSP Southampton Boat Show, who required a TV advert to showcase their festival of boating for the whole family. The advert needed to highlight the presence of hundreds of boats, brands and suppliers, food, bars and new attractions available across the 10 day boating spectacular. The PSP Southampton Boat Show invites you to ‘Come and get on the water, fly high on the eye and experience tribute gigs daily!’ and our TV advert needed to reflect that.
The Process
LoveLove worked with our in-house writers to generate a concept and worked in conjunction with our animation team to develop a suitable animation style. The advert is set in a world amongst plastic figurines, and our animation team endeavored to sculpt each character and boat, harnessing their 3D modeling skills and character rigging.
The Result
Our animation team has created a fun and colourful animation that aims to highlight the new family attractions and festival feel of this year’s show. The PSP Southampton Boat Show 2014 advert is airing on ITV Meridian through August and into September ahead of the ‘Festival of Boating’ taking place from the 12th to 21st of September. Our team enjoyed animating this fun and playful commercial. There’s a lot of love for both the Beatles tribute band and the pirates on the tall ship! Take a look and watch the advert!
