LoveLove Films Creates End Of Year Recap Video For Local Charity Bournemouth 2026

Local charity Bournemouth 2026 aims to improve quality of life for residents

Bournemouth 2026 is a charitable organisation based in the Boscombe area of Bournemouth, Dorset. The overall aim of the trust is to improve the quality of life for people living in the areas of Boscombe and West Howe, through various community projects and regeneration schemes. Bournemouth 2026 also promotes the creation of employment and training opportunities, the provision of affordable housing, environmental conservation and developing the skills of disadvantaged communities.

Bournemouth 2026 is now in its 10th year of operation and as part of the annual general meeting the board wanted to convey to the members the successes of the previous 12 months. However, rather than use a mundane presentation, Bournemouth 2026’s Development Manager Tina Thompson wanted to be able to showcase the positive impact of the charity in a way that could be shared online and on social media. Tina approached LoveLove Films to create a 60 second recap video showcasing the positive results that Bournemouth 2026 has enjoyed over the past year, and which could be shown to attendees of the annual general meeting, shared on social media and used on the charity’s website.

LoveLove Films’ copywriter Tom Charnock then worked closely with Tina and Bournemouth 2026 to nail down the message and key points the video would convey. The style chosen was one of clean lines and with a colour scheme that was a reflection of the overall branding of the charity, with tones of green and blue echoing those seen in the Bournemouth 2026 logo. Once the script and key messages were finalised, the images of Boscombe, West Howe and other successful initiatives such as the Gladstone Mews housing development and the Dorset Young Volunteer Awards were implemented and brought to life by one of LoveLove Films’ animators, Steve Boden. Once the music and voice over was added, the video came together to give the viewer an overall feel for the positive work Bournemouth 2026 is doing.

Production of the 60 second video was done to tight deadline, with LoveLove Films having only a couple of weeks to create it from scratch. The vast majority of the images were sourced from Bournemouth 2026 and were then parallaxed by Steve to add the illusion of movement. Even though we had minimal time to create an effective and visually appealing video, we were delighted to work with a local charity which is working towards improving the quality of life for Bournemouth residents.

The final animated video was shown to around 50 attendees at the Bournemouth 2026 annual general meeting and brought the event to a close, and was also played on a loop throughout the lunch break. Attendees included members of the board and various delegates from influential organisations involved with Bournemouth 2026’s continued work in the borough. Bournemouth Council, local business owners and representatives from voluntary groups were all in attendance at the meeting, and the video was well received by all parties. It has since been shared by Bournemouth 2026 on their social media streams, website and YouTube channel.
