LoveLove Films makes waves with new animated film for CoastWise

CoastWise launches in early 2017, with LoveLove Films’ animation at the forefront of the campaign

November 17th 2016 saw the Dorset Coastal Forum welcome guests and stakeholders to their annual general meeting. Amongst the esteemed delegates were representatives from a range of organisations with a vested interest in Dorset’s coastal economy, including members of Dorset County Council, the National Coastal Tourism Academy, Natural England, National Trust, the Department for Communities and Local Government and the Environment Agency.  LoveLove Films’ Georgina Hurcombe was also at the AGM to give an exclusive preview of the brand new coastal safety video campaign developed for Dorset CoastWise.

Due to go live in time for the Easter break in 2017, the campaign consists of an animated musical film which is designed to instil in children and parents the importance of personal safety when visiting coast. Utilising a combination of bright, friendly characters and a fun, light-hearted song, the CoastWise animation will spearhead a broader media campaign which will encompass a range of media – print and online content. Working in unison with partner organisations such as Dorset Council, the RNLI and the Maritime & Coastguard Agency, the CoastWise initiative aims to reduce accidents and incidents at the coast by educating young people in a fun and entertaining manner.

At the AGM, Managing Director and producer at LoveLove Films Georgina Hurcombe presented the video to attendees and answered questions from attendees, and the overwhelming response was extremely positive. The video’s lively mix of appealing characters, and infectious melody was a complete success. Rhiannon Jones from Dorset County Council said of the video:

“We LOVE it! It’s so good – really brilliant work. It’s so catchy and the animation is really funny. I can’t wait to get it out there!”

The music was composed by local Dorset musician Momo:tempo (aka Timo Peach) and gives the animation a unique sense of personality, capturing the spirit of the message while still being fun and appealing to younger viewers. The CoastWise campaign is scheduled to be launched in time for the Easter half-term break in 2017, and we at LoveLove Films hope you enjoy it every bit as we’ve enjoyed creating it.
